There are a variety of attractions and entertainment opportunities throughout the year in the greater Cheyenne area. Home to 15 local museums, movie theaters, community theaters, a civic center, outdoor concerts and many other amenities, there is always something to do in Cheyenne. The artist community is also very strong and provides monthly artwork throughout the community, along with many other public events, making it a fun place to live. Additionally, Cheyenne is home to Cheyenne Frontier Days, the world’s largest outdoor rodeo which lasts 10 days during the month of July.

Wyoming is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, the Snowy Range mountains are only 45 miles west and offer skiing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, hunting, fishing & canoeing.  Additionally, Vedauwoo Recreation Area and Curt Gowdy State Park boast world class rock climbing, mountain bike trails, hiking, camping and fishing. Glendo Reservoir and Guernsey Reservoir are beautiful lakes north of town just off I-25. Cheyenne is also only about an hour away from most of Colorado’s famous mountain resorts. If you are looking for some “big city” excitement, Denver is a mere 90 minutes away.
